Celebrate Recovery
This group meets every Thursday night,
at 7:00 pm. to seek God's healing power in our lives in order to recover from
our personal hurts, habits, and hang-ups. God's road to wholeness, growth, and
spiritual maturity is revealed through 8 Biblical principles and 12 Christ-centered
steps to recovery. As we are willing to accept God's grace in solving our life
problems, we learn to negotiate life the way God intended, experiencing freedom
from past wounds and hurtful hang-ups. This freedom creates peace, serenity,
and joy in our lives and enables us to grow closer in a strong personal relationship
with God and others.

Lord’s Pantry & Clothing
Closet
We believe that as a church our primary
responsibility is to meet spiritual needs; however, it is our desire to follow
Christ’s command in providing essentials such as food and clothing for needy
families. Our Lord's Pantry and Clothing Closet show Christ's love to people
in a practical way. God has used this ministry to open doors, bringing people
to know about Jesus Christ, our Savior. These ministries are open every Tuesday
from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, year round (except the 2nd Tuesday of each month,
when we are open 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm).

Missions
God has blessed our Missionary Family
and the work they are doing as they spread the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ and
His love to the people of the world. We count approximately 30 families and
12 agencies as our missionary family serving in fields such as Africa, Indonesia,
Russia, South America, and the Philippines, as well as here in the United States.
We schedule our missionaries to speak whenever possible during the year but
especially at our Annual Missions Conference in October. We periodically make
opportunities available for short term missions. Our desire is for First Central
to be a "Missionary-Minded" Church.

MOPS
Mothers of Pre-schoolers is our monthly
meeting 9:00 - 11:30 am, of all those moms with infants up to kindergarten.
The morning starts with a delicious breakfast, followed by announcements and
a topical speaker. The discussion group that follows is something that all moms
can learn from. It is a time to discuss the topic of the month and also to gather
information from other moms who have conquered the various stages of pre-schoolers.
How to discipline, set bed times, make your marriage fun, and tackle the many
tasks of a mom are just some of the areas touched upon. A simple yet useful
craft time ends the morning with something that even the craft-challenged can
do. MOPPETS is the delightful, age-appropriate, well-staffed group that will
care for, love, and teach your child(ren) in a way that they think is play.
Snacks are included for them.
We also offer open play in our gym for preschoolers
on Tuesday mornings from 9:00 - 11:00 am from February 23 until April 6. No
gym days on March 9 and April 13 due to our MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) monthly
program. Bring your child and a toy (riding toy, ball, trucks, etc) to share.
Light refreshments served.
