First Central Baptist
Building a community to change the world

Welcome

Thanks for discovering our website. We trust that you will discover the answers to the questions you are seeking.

First Central Baptist Church is a family of families who are passionately devoted to studying, learning, and living God’s Word. We recently considered the question, “What makes a great church?” We believe that “A Great Commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission makes a Great Church.” Rather than just being a warm, caring fellowship, we want to have a positive impact on our community.

Please join us for one of our worship services. If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call.

Palm Sunday & Easter Sermons
The week between Palm Sunday and Easter is a pivotal week in the history of the world. It begins with Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem where he was proclaimed as savior and king. He gathered his disciples together for one last celebration of the Passover feast. During that meal, he attached a new meaning and significance to that event. Jesus was crucified between two thieves on Good Friday. But death was not a final defeat and the grave could not hold him. Jesus rose from the grave and appeared to many. On Easter morning, we celebrate the resurrection of our Savior!

On Friday evening at 7 pm we will have a special service of communion and remembrance. All are welcome.

And on Easter, Pastor Mark shares, "Can a Skeptic Be Convinced?" from Luke 24:1-12. Celebrate with us this Sunday!
Sermon Series
In a pluralistic, multi-cultural world, is the church still necessary? If so, what role does it play? What does Scripture say about wealth and materialism, the role of women, leadership and authority, discipline in the church, and a Christian's response to the cults?

The apostle Paul addresses all of these issues in his first letter to Timothy. Join us as we study 1 Timothy and discover "The Blueprints for the Church."

The next message in the series will be on April 27. We hope to see you at
8:30 or 11:00 am.
